China's 500 Most Valuable Brands list for 2008 has been released following the closure of the 2008 World Brand Summit on June the 2nd.

China Mobile once again topped the list with State Grid not far behind and CCTV ranking in at third place.

Chinese domestic brands still need to focus their efforts into building a valuable identity in order to compete with affirmed global brands in the international arena.

In this respect, the most famous names of Haier, Lenovo, Huawei and Changhong take the lead. However, we expect to see smaller domestic brands investing in improving their value and competitiveness in the near future.
